Welcome to Battle of Corydon.org

The Battle of Corydon, fought on July 9, 1863, was the only Civil War battle to take place in Indiana, and one of only a handful fought north of the Mason-Dixon Line.

This website has been developed to make available the primary accounts describing the battle itself and documenting Morgan’s trek through Harrison County through the use of newspaper accounts, militia reports, eye-witness reports, journals, diaries, letters, and books, etc. New information and sources are constantly being added to this website, so please check back often.
